Linda G. Nanos
Attorney

Linda Nanos graduated from St. John’s University School of Law in 1980 and has been a practicing attorney in Nassau County, New York since 1981. Currently she has a quad-lingual (English, Spanish, Italian, Hungarian) law practice in Hempstead, New York, devoted to handling immigration matters for foreign nationals from six continents. Linda is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association and the Nassau County Bar Association (NCBA). At the NCBA, she is a Director on the Board of Directors, member of the Grievance Committee, Chair of the Bridge Over Language Divides (BOLD) Program, and former Chair of the Immigration Law Committee. In 2010, she won the NCBA President’s award for her dedicated service. She is a lecturer for the Academy of Law and contributes articles to the publication, Nassau Lawyer.  Linda was honored in 2008 for her contribution to the Hispanic Community at the 25th anniversary dinner of the Central American Refugee Center (CARECEN). She published a novel about an immigrant’s struggle to unite his family, entitled The Minor Respondent. Linda has worked tirelessly for the betterment of immigrants in the United States.

Claudia Gigler
Attorney
Claudia Gigler is an associate attorney who joined Linda G. Nanos, P.C. in September 2012. She received her undergraduate degree from New York University in 2001 and her Juris Doctorate from Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center in 2005.  Prior to joining the Firm, Claudia was an associate at a large immigration firm in New York, NY for three years where she handled a high volume case load, focusing on deportation and removal defense, asylum, family and employment-based petitions, adjustment of status, and citizenship. Claudia has successfully represented clients before immigration judges with the Executive Office for Immigration Review, the Board of Immigration Appeals, and the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. Claudia is admitted to the New York State Bar.  She is a member of the American immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) and the Nassau County Bar Association, Immigration Law Committee. Claudia is a first-generation American from Peruvian and Hungarian parents and is fluent in Spanish and Hungarian.  She also lived abroad in Italy and speaks Italian.


Norma I. Sanchez
Paralegal
Born in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico, Norma was raised in the USA and Puerto Rico.  She graduated from the University of Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico with a BA degree in Education, majoring in English studies.  She is also a graduate of Adelphi University Paralegal studies.  Norma worked as an English teacher in Puerto Rico and Rhode Island.  Later she moved to New York and worked as a translator and proofreader until she found her true calling working as a bilingual paralegal in the immigration field since 1983.  She works as part of a team with the attorneys to prepare and submit applications to the US Citizenship and Immigration Service and the Executive Office of Immigration Review.  Norma is fluent in English and Spanish and a Notary Public.



Tania O'Brien
Paralegal
Born in Lima, Peru, Tania was raised in Peru and the U.S.  She is fluent in English and Spanish.  Tania received a degree in Early Childhood Education from SUNY Farmingdale and then an Associates degree in Paralegal Studies from Nassau Community College.  Tania started with our firm as an intern and, in 1995, joined our staff permanently. She works as part of a team with the attorneys to prepare and submit applications to the US Citizenship Immigration Service, to the Executive Office of Immigration Review, client and court communication and overall case management.  Tania is a New York State Notary Public.





Sofia Steinbuch
Paralegal
Born in Quito, Ecuador, Sofia was raised in Ecuador but came to the land of opportunity at age 17.  She graduated from Nassau Community College, New York with an A.A.S. in Paralegal Studies and is also pursuing her bachelor's Degree with a Spanish Major.  Sofia has realized her American Dream of helping many immigrants just like herself gain their residence and citizenship in the United States of America by working on their behalf as a bilingual paralegal in the immigration field since 1998.  She works as part of a team along with attorneys to prepare and submit applications to the US Citizenship and Immigration Service and the Executive Office of Immigration Review.  Sofia is fluent in English and Spanish, NYS Notary Public.




Alma Monroy
Administrative Analyst

Born in Colombia.  She possesses a bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering and graduate study in Finance, both degrees from Los Andes University in Bogota, Colombia.  After she came to United States, she got an associate's degree in Accounting from Nassau Community College.  Alma came to our company in January 2008, and since then she has been in charge of our finances and carefully keeps the record of each client account, so is available to resolve any account question.  She is also responsible for the improvement of the administrative forms and procedures.






Cindy Sanchez
Office Receptionist
With a welcoming smile, our receptionist, Cindy will be the first member of our office you will encounter. Born and raised on Long Island, she is fluent in English and Spanish; due to her Salvadorean heritage.  Cindy joined our staff in 2006.  She holds a bachelor's degree from John Jay College of Criminal Justice in Forensic Psychology and Counseling.  Call our office today and speak to Cindy about how you can set up an appointment with one of our Attorney's.
